NORTH SALT LAKE -- Martin Door Manufacturing has honored a North Salt Lake City garage door dealer as one of the top dealers of Martin Door products.
Northern Utah Doors, Inc., was awarded a silver star for sales excellence in 2003 during a recent awards ceremony held by Martin Door.
Northern Utah Doors is locally owned by Albert Fitzgerald and covers an area along the Wasatch Front as well as northern Utah and portions of southern Idaho.
In business since 1936, Martin Door is the only garage door manufacturer in the world that is ISO-9001 registered and has a UL-approved door system.
Mann rejoins Mike & Sterling's
BOUNTIFUL -- Kelly Mann, former owner of the Red Fox Gallery in Farmington, has joined Mike & Sterling's Flooring America as a "flooring consultant."
Mann says he brings a sense of color and design, along with pleasant personality, to the position.
His previous eight years with Mike & Sterling's, combined with time spent running his own business, provides him with the experience needed to help his clients find the best flooring to meet their needs and beautify their homes.
Futura Industries honored
CLEARFIELD -- A Freeport Center-based business, Futura Industries, was among 10 companies honored by the Utah Department of Workforce Services and the Office of Child Care as a 2003 Work/Life Award Winner.
The awards were presented last Wednesday in ceremonies conducted at the Perry Hotel in Salt Lake City.
The Work/Life Award recognizes successful businesses that have demonstrated commitment and leadership in incorporating work/life programs into their business strategies.
"Businesses are realizing the bottom-line benefits of incorporating work/life initiatives into their corporate culture and everyday operations, and we want to recognize and honor the best programs," said Raylene Ireland, the Executive Director of the Department of Workforce Services. "By addressing work/life issues directly, companies are reaping the benefits of improved productivity, commitment, retention, recruitment and morale, while experiencing declines in absenteeism and turnover."
Other winners of the 2003 Work/Life Award include 1800Contacts, ARUP Laboratories, Ernst & Young, Mountain America Credit Union, Nicholas & Company, Redmond Minerals, Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah, Stampin' Up! and Sunshine Terrace.
