Library discussion group to look at three books

BOUNTIFUL -- The book, A Train to Potevka, will be discussed at the Davis County Library's south end book discussion group on Oct. 10 at 7 p.m.

The book, written by Layton author Mike Ramsdell is set in Russia at the end of the Cold War.

It takes readers on a winter's journey across Russia on the 6,000-mile Trans-Siberian Railway, and tells the story of failed espionage, escape and survival.

Then, on Nov. 14, the group will focus on Web of Evil by J. A. Jance.

The book is the second Ali Reynolds thriller. Character Ali Reynolds husband is killed on the eve of their divorce. Ali becomes the chief murder suspect.

Then on Dec. 12, the Christmas Jars by Jason F. Wright will be discussed.

The book tells of a journalist who happens upon a human interest piece that winds up teaching her lessons about love, forgiveness and a renewing of her faith in human kindness and the power of giving.

Book discussion groups meet at the South Branch Library, 725 S. Main, Bountiful, at 7 p.m. They are free to the public.

It is not necessary to have read a book to attend the discussions.
