Temple Square concerts planned

Two concerts are planned this weekend on Temple Square.The concerts are free and begin at 7:30 p.m. Children under 8 are encouraged to visit other venues. Friday, April 15 --Australian soprano Elena Xanthoudakis will sing in the Assembly Hall selections from Handel, Bach, Mozart, Wolf, Faure, Quilter, Bernstein, Bizet, and Gershwin. Xanthoudakis has performed in Italy, Germany, Russia, Hong Kong, Australia, and London, where she is pursuing a masters at the Guildhall of Music and Drama.

Saturday, April 16 -- The University of Utah Singers, a student choral group, will present a program in the Assembly Hall.
