BOUNTIFUL -- Lakeview Hospital is offering discounted prostate exams this Wednesday, Sept. 22, but it's nothing to "loose your britches over."
These exams use a blood test to check for prostate cancer. Cost for the screenings will be $10. They will be available beginning at 6 p.m. at the hospital's Community Classroom (inside the north/main doors and immediately to the left).
At 7 p.m., Dr. Scott Southworth will present a seminar titled "What you should know about your prostate." The seminar will be followed by a question-and-answer period.
Generally these seminars are well attended. Past seminars have dealt with family emotional health, estrogen and more.
September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month and is also Men's Health Month at Lakeview Hospital.
