Dad met his “sweetie pie” when he wandered by the dorms at BYU and found her outside making Homecoming posters and that was their beginning
After graduation, they spent a short time in Wyoming and then settled into their current home in Bountiful. Dad spent the first half of their marriage as a Banker and the second half as a Baker making yummy treats for all the lucky souls in Bountiful at Lynn’s Flavor Magic. Mom spent those years raising six perfectly delightful children and serving her family, church and community. Mom and Dad raised us with a legacy of gospel living and service. We, now in turn, strive to teach their 21 grandchildren the same.
Mom and Dad never realized their dream of serving a full-time mission because of their health, but instead, true to their nature, have found ways to serve from home. Dad works more than full time offering computer support for NewFamilySearch.-org while Mom searches for her next “12 days of Christmas” recipient. And that is the middle of their story.
As for the end… well, there is no end because they were married for Time and All Eternity on December 15, 1961, in the Salt Lake Temple. We will celebrate their 50 years together at a family dinner this weekend. Our Mom and Dad would love it if their friends and family would take a minute to send a greeting card. Congratulations Mom and Dad! We Love You!
