BOUNTIFUL—The quartet of Sam Merrill, Dain Murdock, Brit Harding and Brandon Yates combined to score 44 of the Bountiful Braves’ 56 points as they beat the Woods Cross Wildcats 56-45 for the season sweep.

The win for Bountiful halted the Wildcats’ four-game winning streak, while also continuing the Braves’ now 11-game winning streak.

For Woods Cross, Hayden Grant scored 19 points, while Mike Jacobson added another 12 points in the loss.

Currently, both the Braves and Wildcats have a chance to make the 4A boys’ basketball tournament. Bountiful has already claimed the Region 6 title, having a perfect 9-0 record in region play. The Wildcats currently sit in fourth place as of printing of this story.
