FARMINGTON — Sentencing for the Centerville man who pleaded guilty to assaulting his wife and her friend with nunchakus has been continued until March 26.

Andrew James Lukenbach, 31, pleaded guilty in January to two class A misdemeanor charges of attempted aggravated assault, and a class B misdemeanor count of obstructing justice.

His attorney, Mark Arrington said his client’s hearing was continued because the state Division of Child and Family Services also has a case filed against Lukenbach.

Police said that Luckenbach hit his wife and her male friend with the nunchakus in front of the couple’s home on June 11, 2011. The couple’s three children witnessed the attack.

He had originally been charged with two third-degree felony counts of aggravated assault and one count of domestic violence in the presence of a child, also a third-degree felony.
