KAYSVILLE —Tim Wright, a student at Fort Herriman Junior High in Jordan School District, got a wish-come-true recently thanks to Davis High business students.

Wright, who is battling cancer, got a chance to fly in an L-39 fighter jet after a fundraiser coordinated by students in Jeff McCauley’s business club.

Since being diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma in January of 2011, the seventh grader has had 14 rounds of chemotherapy and a Van Ness Rotation Plasty surgery and is currently in remission.

Besides flying in the jet fighter, a wish made possible through the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Incredible Adventures, Tim was an honorary team captain at a Davis High basketball game, where he got to toss the game-starting jump ball and sit with the team throughout the game.
