DAVIS COUNTY — The economy likely won’t return to the hefty buzz of 2005 or 2006, but it is on the upswing.

That was the message to the Davis Unified Economic Development group, Tuesday, from John Mathews. He is Northern Utah Regional Economist for the Department of Workforce Services.

“There is a significant difference between this recession and the dot com recession of 2000-2001,” he said.
