The 50-year-old, 14,000 square-foot Bountiful Davis Art Center will be renovated. In addition, a new 5,000 square-foot history center will be incorporated into the project, at about 800 S. Main in Bountiful.
There will also be a 4,000 square-foot common area including lobby/gathering area, multi-purpose room, food preparation area and an elevator. It will be shared by the Bountiful/Davis Art Center and history center.
“This is a great project,” said Bountiful Mayor Joe Johnson. “That will allow us to expand our existing cultural events such as Summerfest and Handcart Days, and will make possible even more cultural activities within Bountiful and throughout south Davis County.”
