Solar panels benefit environment

LAYTON — Saving money and conserving resources can be done both in small ways and big ones and students at North Davis Prepartory Academy learned about both recently.

At a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating the 40 new solar panels installed at the school, students heard about the value of solar energy and the way turning off a light can make a difference.

“If you can reduce your usage just a little bit, we can reduce the impact we’re making,” said Bonnie Hagen of Academia West, adding that if we don’t, there will come a time when our non-renewable resources will run out.
