BOUNTIFUL — Beginning in May, things will start to change at Bountiful High.

And over time, a new entry will greet students entering on the east side, a large commons area will be added to the cafeteria, classrooms will get new cabinets and carpets, and an elevator will help disabled students access the third and fifth floors.

“We feel like this is a great project,” said Dr. Paul Waite, an assistant superintendent, in addressing the Davis School Board Tuesday, prior to their approval of the guaranteed maximum price.

The improvements will run just under $8 million and take place largely over the next two summers.
