Local author K.C. Grant, author of “Abish: Daughter of God” and its sequel, is now exploring the world of modern Mexico with her latest book, “Venom.” Set in Mexico City, the book follows a young woman who finds that she’s wandered into a web of mystery and trouble caused by the drug trade.

The book, which includes strange accidents, kidnappings, an evil crime boss and even some romance, is planned as the start of a series. All of the books will feature Samantha Evans, the protagonist of the first book.
