WOODS CROSS — Interested students are invited to participate in a “service-learning adventure” this summer, helping those who live in leper colonies in India.

Cassidy Hills, a student at Woods Cross High School, who will be participating, visited Equador last year in a similar program, where she worked in a medical clinic, taught English and helped build a community facility.

“I’ve always been drawn to other cultures,” she said. “I love doing humanitarian work because you develop a love for so many different people with different lives and stories. I’ve realized each person has something to offer.”

Students from Viewmont, Bountiful, Woods Cross and Cottonwood high schools will travel to Chennai, India a tropical city located on the southeastern coast of India, departing on June 30.
