CENTERVILLE – Motorists traveling north on I-15 through Centerville can’t help but notice a large billboard that reads. “WARNING: I-15 Bottleneck Coming.”

The billboard then lists a website, “www.StopTheBottleNeck.com.”

The billboard was funded by a group of residents living in Farmington and Kaysville, who are opposed to the Shepard Lane option, one of two options the Utah Department of Transportation is considering for the proposed West Davis Corridor, which will extend the Legacy Highway through north Davis County and into Weber County.

Dave Austin, whose family lives near the area the Shepard Lane option would pass through, said hundreds of contributions came in for the billboard, which promoters hope will bring awareness to motorists that the option will take out many more homes than the other option, the Glovers Lane option.
