BOUNTIFUL — A little fun in the sun will help local kids have a warmer winter.

A host of sponsors, educators and community leaders were among those gathered for the Bountiful Rotary’s recent Annual Coats for Kids Car Show Kickoff. The car show, scheduled for June 15-16, offers everything — food, a parade, contests, plenty of classic cars and more to raise money for local kids in need of winter clothes.

“I love this event, I really do,” said well-known KSL host Doug Wright, who spoke briefly at the kickoff. “It’s an amazing event in an amazing community.” The two-day event is held along Bountiful’s Main Street and at the city park, with activities ranging from a car parade and music to activities for the kids and a burnout contest that attracts even a vehicle from the Utah Highway Patrol.
