KAYSVILLE — The last time the Davis Darts boys’ soccer team scored five goals was back on April 10, when they scored six goals in a win over the Fremont Silverwolves.

The last time they had five goals scored against them … well, one would have to go back a lot further than that.

Eight years ago, the Weber Warriors soccer team beat the Darts 5-1 in a Region 1 match that helped the Warriors claim a Region 1 title. History may have repeated itself Tuesday afternoon as the Warriors were able to blank the Darts 5-0, taking solo possession of first place in the region with three games remaining in the regular season.

“We knew it was going to be a tough game,” said Weber coach Jan Swift. “We knew we had the potential to score goals and we knew we could play with (Davis). The boys put together a good game, which we’ve been waiting all season for.”
