1962-2012
Mary Jo Perfili Diston, born June 6, 1962, was unexpectedly taken from us and given her own wings by her angels on April 27, 2012. Many weep as we all already feel the immense loss of not having our Mary Jo, who loved so deep and unconditionally. It was that incredible, selfless, deep love and strong, funny personality that had such a profound effect on all who knew her. She was the heartbeat of our family, and without a doubt, the glue that kept us together. She never went without calling her father for a nightly chat. Mary lived for her family. She made friends everywhere and was loved by all. Thank you, Mary Jo, for being as perfect as you were, and for touching all our hearts and souls in a way that only you could. May your new wings bring you peace, and may they take you on the greatest adventure of your life. We love you more than words can say. Ciao until we meet again.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Carleen Perfili.
Mary is survived by her only son, James Bloom; her loving husband, Scott Diston; and her father, Al Perfili. She was also survived by her siblings: Jim Perfili, Jeri Carrico, Jackie Perfili (Mike Carbona), Jeannie Perfili, Joe Perfili, and John Perfili (Rhonda); nieces and nephews: Jennifer Gurney (Tyler), Cody Carrico (Ashley), Jessica Kilgore (Heather), William Kilgore, Amber Perfili, Mandy Perfili and Cade Perfili.
