WOODS CROSS — If you could bring songs to life, this is what it might look like.

Woods Cross High’s “Rhythm of the Night,” the musical revue dinner theater that will be holding its last performances May 3 through 7, has all the joys of a magic, live-action playlist that creates a miniature stage show for each song. From more reflective, emotional numbers to rousing crowd-pleasers, the show offers a mix of delights that will get your heart soaring and feet tapping.

Since each song is so different from the others, I’ll just touch on a handful that stood out the most to me. “Blue Suede Shoes,” a strictly dance number, was incredibly fun and high energy. The dancers make sure the audience gets involved, so if you can’t stop your feet from tapping I’m pretty sure no one will care.
