Baseball

Bountiful 16, Box Elder 5

Jace Benard went 4-for-4 at the plate with three RBI’s. Bountiful scored all 16 runs by the fourth inning. Bountiful will face Maple Mountain Monday at 1:30 p.m.



Murray 12, Woods Cross 4

The Spartans exploded for 12 runs as Jake Kocherhans took the loss. The Wildcats will face former region foe Olympus Monday at 11 a.m.

American Fork 4, Davis 1

The Darts couldn’t hold onto a one-run lead as the Cavemen scored four runs in the sixth inning to steal the win. Davis will face off against Riverton on Monday at 7 p.m.

Jordan 15, Viewmont 9

After allowing six runs in the first three innings, Jordan exploded for 12 runs in the third inning and never looked back. The Vikings will face off against former region foe Syracuse Monday at 4:30 p.m.

Boys’ Soccer

Orem 2, Bountiful 1 (OT)

Dain Murdock gave the Braves the lead after the first half, however, Orem scored in the second half to force extra time. Jake Thompson pushed across the golden goal to eliminate the Braves.

Timpanogos 2, Woods Cross 1 (OT)

Leo Calquin helped push the game into overtime, however, Timpanogos’ Austin Buxton scored the golden goal four minutes into the first overtime to eliminate the Wildcats from the 4A playoffs.
