However, both teams were eliminated in their respective classes as Bountiful fell to Salem Hills 7-2 while Davis lost to Weber 8-1. Losses by both teams eliminated them from the 4A and 5A softball playoffs respectively.
In Bountiful's game against Salem Hills, seven of the Skyhawks 10 hits went for extra bases, including one homerun each from Hailey Ingram and Kayla Palmer. Salem Hills scored all seven runs in the first three innings, while Bountiful's only pair of runs were scored in the bottom of the sixth.
In the 5A one-loss bracket, Weber broke a 1-1 pitching duel with Davis by scoring seven runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, led by Hali Bennions' home run.
