ANTELOPE ISLAND — It’s a chanc e to take a trip back in time and make the world a little better while you’re doing it.

The Cowboy Legends Poetry and Music Festival will be returning to Antelope Island May 25-28 with all proceeds going towards the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. The event offers a wide range of music, poetry, dance, food and fun for the entire family that evokes the spirit of the old west.

“It’s the same feeling as when the cowboys gathered with their banjoes and fiddles out on the plain,” said festival organizer Lisa Stubblefield. “It’s a real way of life and we don’t want it to die out.”

Also included will be authentic wagon rides, sponsored by the Utah Western Heritage Foundation. The rides, which will be in 10 historically accurate wagons and carriages, cost $10 for adults, $5 for kids, and $25 per family.
