KEARNS — For the Bountiful Braves and Woods Cross Wildcats baseball teams, it was win or go home Monday afternoon.

Unfortunately, both teams met the end of their baseball playoff runs as the Wildcats dropped to Olympus 7-5, while Bountiful lost to Maple Mountain 5-2.

For Woods Cross, the loss was the team’s 10th of the year against 17 wins, 12 of them coming in Region 6. The team’s region win total helped them share the Region 6 championship while giving the Wildcats a No. 1 seed to start the 4A baseball tournament.

The Wildcats’ run started well when they came back to beat the Provo Bulldogs 7-6 in the first round thanks to scoring five runs in the final two innings.
