WOODS CROSS — We must not forget our men and women serving in the military as they give their lives for us.

That was the message of Tony Galvez, whose son, Adam, was killed while serving in Iraq when his vehicle struck a roadside bomb on Aug. 20, 2006.

Galvez was the keynote speaker at the annual Woods Cross Memorial Day celebration on Monday. He is the founder of the Utah Freedom Memorial Park in Sandy.

Galvez told a moving story about three men serving in Iraq, who were killed when a suicide bomber drove into the checkpoint.
