There was something for everyone at Bountiful Rotary’s Coats for Kids Car Show. Cars parades around Bountiful streets on Friday (inset), and even those with only a passing interest in engines found some fun at a pie-eating contest courtesy of Kneaders Bakery and Cafe (above). BOUNTIFUL — The sun was shining, the engines were loud, and plenty of needy south Davis kids will have a warmer winter.

According to club member Paul Summers, the Bountiful Rotary’s annual Coats for Kids Car Show brought in enough money to make sure every needy child in south Davis will have the coats and warm weather gear they need for winter. Plenty of Davis County residents came out to support the cause for both days of the show, which ran last Friday and Saturday, enjoying food, music, and activities such as the burnout competition and pie-eating contests.

“We were very successful,” said Summers. “The kids will all receive coats who need them. That’s the main reason we’re doing this.”
