FARMINGTON — “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to world class.”

With those words, Farmington Mayor Scott Harbertson celebrated the unveiling of Station Park’s new show fountain Friday.

Harbertson was joined by Lt. Gov. Greg Bell and officials from CenterCal Properties, as sculptures were unveiled and the multi-million dollar fountain was revealed.

“Farmington has intelligently taken advantage of this and made just a spectacular development with beautiful amenities,” said Bell as he addressed the gathered crowd.

Bell, who was once mayor of Farmington, said that in the past there had been a desire to keep Farmington rural. He said growth had been intelligently managed by visionary, unsung people such as Max Forbush, former Farmington city manager.
