Samuel J. Tate, son of Stephen and Jamie Tate, received his Eagle Scout Award on June 24, 2012. He is a member of Troop 1169 under Scout Master Brent Garlick. While up in the foothills of Centerville, Sam noticed that the foothills were littered with big piles of garbage. For his Eagle Project, Sam organized members of his troop to help him clear away piles of couches, T.V.’s, mattresses, speakers and other large items. They hauled them to the dump, leaving the foothills clean and beautiful.
