SYRACUSE — Serious health conditions know no age boundary.

Such is the case for 28 year-old Trevor Anderson, a lifelong Davis County resident who has been diagnosed with a genetic kidney disease called FSGS.

His employer, Nilson Homes, is sponsoring a fund raiser Saturday, July 14 at 8 a.m. at Jensen Park in Syracuse.

There will be a 5K run, breakfast, drawing, silent auction and bake sale.

Trevor’s FSGS condition has progressed since birth, said sister Sonja Hammond.

“(It) claimed the life of his grandfather at the age of 32,” she said.

In addition, her brother has hemophilia, a bleeding disorder that prevents him from going on dialysis.

“Thanks to modern medicine he has the ability to beat this life-threatening disease by receiving a kidney transplant,” Hammond said.

“With this procedure come many medical bills as well as anti-rejection medication that he will have to take the rest of his life,” she said.

“The burden of dealing with failing kidneys for the past three years has taken a huge financial toll on the Anderson family and they need your help,” Hammond said.

Trevor works full-time and also is a full-time student. He is married and with his wife has two children, pictured.

“We need a lot of community support to help Trevor through this extremely difficult ordeal,” Hammond said.
