Younger hunters and those who haven’t had the chance to hunt in Utah must sign up for one of several hunter education courses. The courses are designed to help young or inexperienced hunters with the information they need in order to properly hunt during the upcoming hunting season, which begins as early as mid-September.
“It’s important for hunters of all ages and experience to come along for the course,” said Kirk Smith, assistant Hunter Eduction coordinator for DWR.
“These spots fill up pretty quick so it’s also important for those who want to hunt this year to get out and take an education course.”, he said.
Hunter Education courses are held throughout Davis County and all over Utah, with most residents choosing to take the online course. For those who want to take the course in class, DWR offers that setting as well.
