He was born June 9, 1956 in Salt Lake City, Utah the son of Reid W. and Wanda Swenson Powers. He married Valerie DeMarco April 21, 1979 and together they had four children, they were later divorced.
Bob was raised and educated in Bountiful, graduating from Viewmont High School in 1974. He worked in the grocery industry for 42 years, and was a member of the Masonic Organization of Demolay Bountiful Chapter.
He enjoyed golfing, boating, watching the Yankees, working in his yard, but especially loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Bob has touched so many lives and will be deeply missed by all.
He is survived by his children Andrew (Kaylee) Powers, Stefanie (Chris) Adams, Kim (Cache) Hadley, Natalie Mugleston, and six grandchildren Navi, Ayden, Cayson, Ryder, Davis, and Bentley. He is also survived by his sister Terri Powers Shepard (Larry) and half sisters Vickie and Penny and a special friend Sindy Nixon. Preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 3, 2012 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 N. 400 East where friends may visit family Thursday, Aug. 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. prior to services. Interment Bountiful City Cemetery.
