“Fairadise” is this year’s theme.
And much of the Aug. 15-Aug. 18 extravaganza continues to be free, including admission, said Fair Coordinator Alli Barnes.
Armiger will perform Thursday, Aug. 16 at 7:30 p.m., with Maddie Wilson serving as opener. Armiger has such hits as “Kiss Me Now” and “Trail of Lies” in her repertoire.
The concert is part of Hill Air Force Base Appreciation Night, where military members and their families will be honored.
The Sealife Encounters stingray exhibit is this year’s family-friendly headliner event. It will be open Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visitors can learn about the rays as well as touch and feed them, Barnes said.
New this year will be a senior health fair to be held on opening day, Wednesday, Aug. 15, at 11 a.m. as part of senior day. A variety of health screenings and seminars will be offered.
The American Diving Dogs return at 1 p.m. that day and continue through the fair at 3, 5 and 6:30 p.m.
The Earthwings – Owl, Falcon and Parrot Show, new this year, will perform on the Davis Clipper Main Stage at 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday and on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Meanwhile, the demolition derby will fill the South Outdoor Arena with action, also at 8 p.m.
Friday will feature the annual baby show, divided by age groups from birth to 5 years old.
A flavor of this year’s Polynesian fair theme will be provided at 5:45 p.m. on the Clipper Main Stage by Lil O’ Polynesia — Hawaiian dancers.
