LAYTON — Detectives with the Layton Police Department have arrested the man suspected of robbing a Wells Fargo Bank on Aug. 10.

Michael Dale Prothero,43, was taken into custody Tuesday at a Salt Lake City homeless shelter, according to a Layton Police Department press release.

He was booked into the Davis County Jail on 2nd degree felony robbery charges, a class A misdemeanor theft charge,a class B misdemeanor criminal trespass charge and an outstanding warrant out of Weber County.

Prothero allegedly entered the bank at 2050 N. Main Street, demanded cash and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. His face was caught on security video during the incident.
