WEST BOUNTIFUL — The City Council here will hold a public hearing on Tuesday evening about allowing farm animals in the city’s residential zone. This will be the third public hearing on the issue, and the second by the city council.
The council is considering whether to adopt an ordinance that would allow farm animals such as horses, sheep, goats, pigs and chickens based on a points system. The smallest plot on which farm animals would be allowed is 0.4 acres.
The proposal is more lenient than existing rules, said Ben White, West Bountiful zoning administrator.
The public hearing will be held at 7:45 pm at West Bountiful City Hall, 550 N. 800 West. Click the image on the left to read the proposed ordinance.
