PARK CITY С  The Bountiful Lady Braves’ girls soccer team still don’t have a win this season, playing to a 1-1 tie with Park City Tuesday in preseason action.

With the first half aggressively being played by Bountiful, Kennedy Merrick gave the Lady Braves the lead with a goal and held Park City scoreless for most of the second half.

Late in the second half, however, MaKenzie Bothner scored the game-tying goal to force overtime. Both team’s went scoreless in the two 10-minute overtime periods, leading to the tie score.

The tie Tuesday meant the Lady Braves are still without a win this season. Bountiful took a tough loss to Viewmont in its opener (which also was a double-overtime game), then dropped a 4-1 match to defending 5A champion Alta last Thursday.

Bountiful has two remaining preseason games before starting Region 6 play, both at home. The Lady Braves host Brighton Tuesday and Davis Thursday next week. The team’s opening region game will also be at home against Cyprus on Tuesday, Aug. 28.

Bountiful’s game against Brighton is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m.
