LAYTON С “Erin’s Slumber Party” could draw up to of 5,000 people to the Davis Conference Center Р a record for the nearly-decade old facility.
Erin Collard of Salt Lake City’s B98.7 is hosting the annual giant event, which is billed in promotion material as a “girls’ night out.” This year’s event will be held Aug. 24 from 6 p.m. to midnight.
“We were thrilled to move to Davis CountyР mainly because we’d outgrown every hotel in Salt Lake!” said slumber party host Erin Collard.
This is the first time the event will be held outside of Salt Lake City in its 11-year history, said Conference Center General Manager Scott Lunt.
The event will feature free food, including desserts, pedicures, manicures, massages and chances for a lot of shopping, the B98.7 website said.
“The Conference Center was a good choice because of the complexity of the party; we need a good sound system for bands...breakout rooms...service rooms...space for girls to spread out...facilities for keeping food for 5,000 women hot/cold, and this was the perfect venue,” Collard said.
She said she’s most excited about being able to offer the Fire Muse Circus, which performs in a circus style, but with fire, she said, adding, “It is going to be incredible.”
