BOUNTIFUL — Among 15,000 students recognized as finalists in the National Merit Scholarship program were Camille Youngberg, Anthony Mills and Cannon Nelson from Woods Cross High School.

The National Merit Scholarship Program is an annual academic competition for recognition and scholarships that is open to all high school students who meet entry requirements. More than 1.4 million students entered in their junior year of high school by taking the PSAT exam.

Youngberg, Nelson and Mills are eligible to fulfill other requirements to be considered for Merit Scholarship status. They will prepare by including college preparatory course work, submitting SAT scores, high school recommendations, an essay and submitting information related to extracurricular activities.
