Gage Cook was a consistent passer Friday night, completing 10-of-15 passes for 144 yards and one touchdown. Cook’s touchdown pass went to Colby Child as the duo connected for a 57-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Colton Chronister accounted for the Darts’ other touchdown, scoring on an eight-yard scamper in the first quarter. Davis Hansen scored a defensive touchdown for the Darts, returning an interception 37 yards for a score. The shutout was the Darts’ first of the season.

Woods Cross 41, Mountain Crest 14

Skyler Farnes threw for 305 yards on 11 completions with two touchdowns as the Wildcats finished an undefeated preseason by beating Mountain Crest. Sean Barton was on the receiving end of both touchdown throws, catching two balls for 155 yards with two touchdown receptions. He also returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown. Farnes also scored two rushing touchdowns, even though he finished with -1 yards rushing on the night. Tony Mendez and Shaden Fisher each had five tackles on defense. Filipo Mokofisi and Bowen Ballard each picked off a pass as well.
