FARMINGTON С Parents interested in reviewing the proposed fifth-grade maturation presentation are invited to an open house tonight, Sept. 27, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the district offices.
District curriculum specialists and district nurses developed the proposed lesson plan, according to information provided by the school district.
It was then reviewed by a committee made up of parents, district educators, district administrators and health professionals.
Board members approved the make-up of the committee and will review the proposed presentation at its regular workshop, Oct. 2, before considering it for adoption.
Parents who attend the open house can watch the program, which has been produced for both fifth-grade girls and boys. There will also be printed copies of the presentation. Healthy Lifestyles Director John Robison and others will be available to answer questions.
Beginning this week, parents can also view the presentation at the district’s website: davis.k12.ut.us.
The open house will be held in the Davis School District Auditorium, 45 E. State Street in Farmington.
