Viewmont 13, Taylorsville 3

The Vikings picked up their first win of the season Friday night with a 10-point victory over the Warriors. Aaron Dalton accounted for more than half of Viewmont’s scoring, kicking field goals of 38 and 42 yards and adding one extra point. Max Hadlock found Mitch Dalley for Viewmont’s lone touchdown as the defense held Taylorsville to a field goal for the entire game.

Bountiful 35, Clearfield 0

Jordan Hayes threw for two touchdowns as three other Braves’ players scored rushing touchdowns to pick up the easy victory. Hunt’s three-yard touchdown run brought his season total to 19 for the season, and Mosese Manu and Ryan Curtis each caught touchdown passes for the 6-1 Braves. Bountiful, which has won four straight games, will battle the Leopards of East High School for first place in Region 6 next Friday at home.

Highland 14, Woods Cross 0

Although the game was low-scoring, the Wildcats allowed two first-half touchdowns while being unable to put anything together offensively in the 14-point loss. Highland’s Austin Peterson accounted for both of the Rams’ touchdowns, rushing for one and passing for another in the win. The Rams also held Woods Cross to only 178 total yards. Woods Cross was shutout for the first time this season.
