Dear editor,
Emily Thompson wrote an article about Kitty Pappas Steak House.
She makes some statements that she must have read or assumed from other articles. So quickly we will straighten it out,
George is a Christian. Not someone practicing Pagan-like rituals. There is no shrine to skiing. Plastic flowers? More like decorations for every holiday throughout the year.
Emily talks about George being abrasive. A better description is honest. No fake smiles, just the truth.
Many quality restaurants have no ketchup for their steaks, so why would steak sauce elicit a different response?
JoLayne is sweet. But don’t let that fool you, she can hold her own with the best.
Kitty is a miracle herself. Cooking from scratch may take a little longer, but there is no freezer rush. It may make some people uncomfortable because it is a little dark in the back. This is not some chain steak house.
These are honest people making great food in a world that has forgotten to give credit to “realism.”
We always laugh as regulars and say it’s the “newbie” that is missing out. And if it does snow, thank God or Mother Nature.
Kathleen Worley,
West Bountiful
