Magic on Main starts Thursday
BOUNTIFUL — Luminaries will light up the sidewalks of Main Street this weekend for Holiday Magic on Main.
The Main Street Merchants Association has organized the event, and participating shops will stay open until 8 p.m. Businesses such as Allied Furnishing, the Wight House, Barton Shoes, Classy Chassis, Bun Basket ‘N’ Bakery and Fadel’s Fine Jewelry will participate.
The event is a way for the small shops to get a jump on their big box counterparts for holiday business.
“Main Street is a different place than it was five years ago when I moved in here,” said Mike Murphy, president-elect of the association and owner of Murphy’s Guitars, which will participate in the event. “It’s pretty exciting. – all those new businesses that have opened. It’s pretty amazing.”
See page A16 of the Nov. 1 edition of the Clipper for coupons and more information on the specials that will be available.
