SYRACUSE — The body of a man who has been missing since Oct. 21 was found over the weekend in a field on west Gentile Street.

Hunters found the remains of Kenneth Wayne Wallace, 41, Saturday morning between 9 and 10 a.m. in the field, said Syracuse Police Lt. Tracy Jensen.

"There's nothing that looks suspicious," he said.

Police are waiting for an autopsy results to determine the cause of Wallace's death, and that may take as long as four to six weeks, by time toxicology reports come back. Jensen said.

An uncle of Wallace's has been in town during the search and plans to return home on Monday afternoon, Jensen said.

Police issued an Endangered Missing Person Advisory for Wallace on Oct. 30. He left home on foot on Oct. 21 wearing jeans, flip-flops, a black jacket and a black hat.

He was employed at Hill AFB.
