BOUNTIFUL — Republican incumbents swept Davis County on Tuesday, something which doesn't surprise the county chairs in either party.
Republicans may have come out well ahead, but it was the result of hard work, said Davis County Republican Chairwoman Kris Kimball.
"We worked to make sure our people were elected," Kimball said, by ensuring issues were discussed and signs were plentiful.
"We were very pleased. We had a strong showing in every race," she said.
Democrats didn't fair as well in Davis County, but Bret Garner, Democratic Chairman in Davis County said Wednesday morning, "I feel pretty good about the election. We ran very good campaigns and made sure issues people in the county are concerned with were addressed." He added the party had the best fundraising effort they've ever had.
