KAYSVILLE — More than 50 employers, with jobs available, are expected to participate in the Nov. 15 job fair at the Davis Applied Technology College in Kaysville.
It will take place from 4-7 p.m. and will include pre-workshops on resume and interview preparation. Two scholarships and prizes will also be awarded.
Last year 1,500 people attended the fair, said James Larson, the college’s public relations director.
This year there are more than 700 jobs available for plumbers, electricians, mechanics, welders and professionals in other trades, he said.
“They can’t fill the demand,” he said of companies and Hill AFB. Job training at DATC is customized to meet the needs of those firms seeking employees. The college achieves a 92 percent job-placement rate.
There will also be an energy fair that day.
