BOUNTIFUL — The Viewmont soccer team picked up an exciting 1-0 win over Bountiful last week.

Dylan Richins scored the lone goal and Riley Pickett earned the shutout in goal for the Vikings.

“We played a good game against Bountiful,” said Viewmont coach Dave Wigham. “We were able to take advantage of some things and pull it off.”

The Vikings, in their loss to Woods Cross the next day, lost Richins to a serious injury. The loss of one of his key players has Wigham looking to others to fill the spot.

“Losing someone like Dylan is real tough,” Wigham said.

“He’s a great leader and plays hard. We do have some depth and we’ll have to figure out what to do from where we are right now.”
