BOUNTIFUL – Bountiful native and two-time Olympian Jake Gibb has been named USA Volleyball’s Male Athlete of the Year for 2012.
Gibb, a graduate of Bountiful High School, and his partner Sean Rosenthal, finished the 2012 beach volleyball season as the Federation of International Volleyball’s (FIVB) World Tour Champions.
Gibb also represented the U.S. for the second consecutive Olympic Games this past summer, finishing outside of a medal for the second consecutive Olympic Games in London, England.
He lives in Costa Mesa, California.
