FARMINGTON – Fund dispersal has been approved for several social service agencies by the Davis County Commission.
A portion of federal social service funding has been allocated to the Bountiful Community Food Pantry, which will receive $19,000 to go for case management services. The Family Connection Center will receive $5,522 for its employment self-sufficiency program and $33,382 for its parent education program.
In addition, $25,000 was awarded to the Parent-Child Abuse Utah group for school-based programs, and $10,000 to Utah Legal Services for its domestic violence program.
A few other grants will be announced in January, said Greg Johnson, program coordinator. Agencies that will receive grants include Davis Behavioral Health, the National Alliance for Mental Illness, Pioneer Adult Rehabilitation Center, Safe Harbor and TURN Community Services.
