Bountiful 62, Olympus 56
The Braves won their seventh straight game Wednesday night in a six-point victory over the Titans. Zach Seljaas led the Braves in scoring with 18, and Sam Merrill and Jordan Bleak added 11 points each in the win. Bountiful will play Clearfield tonight.
Syracuse 59, Viewmont 57
Syracuse’s Diante Mitchell hit the game-winning basket with less than three seconds remaining in the game to down the Vikings in regulation. Mitchell led the Titans with 25 points, five rebounds and three assists in the win. Viewmont’s Jarom Tye had a team-high 21 points, and McKay Butler and McKay Johnson added 11 and 10 points, respectively, in the loss. The Vikings will travel to Davis Friday night to close out non region action.

Viewmont 51, Northridge 36
The Lady Vikings picked up their ninth win of the season Wednesday night as they beat the Lady Knights by 15 points. Caitlyn Larsen led the Vikings with 24 points, five rebounds, five assists and seven steals. Katie Toole added 11 points with seven rebounds and Collette West added nine points in the win. Viewmont has held eight of 11 opponents under 50 points scoring, and are 8-0 in that span. They open up Region 2 play against Taylorsville on the road tonight.

Girls’ basketball
Box Elder 55, Woods Cross 36
Box Elder took advantage of its home court by building a 28-14 halftime lead, and outscored Woods Cross in each quarter except the fourth in a 19-point victory. Camille Horrocks led the Wildcats with 14 points, and Briley Knell and Aliyah Miller each added seven points in the loss. Woods Cross will start Region 6 play against Clearfield at Clearfield High School Tuesday.
Davis 63, Mountain Crest 56
The Lady Darts had four players score in double figures, and picked up their fifth straight win with a seven-point victory over Mountain Crest. Morgan Hartvigsen led the Darts with 15 points, Jessica Richardson added 14 points and Caitlyn Gibson scored 11 points in the win. The Darts will open Region 1 play with a home game against Northridge Tuesday.
