Nancy Ruth Falke, 81, passed away January 2, 2013 after living a good and productive life. She was born on June 9, 1931 in Rochester, New York to Dewey Albert Falke and Elizabeth Marie Ginder Falke. Nancy grew up in Rochester and Buffalo, New York spending part of her life in Montana and New Mexico, before moving to Utah; living in Salt Lake City and Woods Cross. Nancy was trained as a Registered Nurse.
Nancy loved life, and was always willing to help people in need. She loved adventure and loved to travel, traveling the United States and Canada. She loved nature and enjoyed planting gardens. She loved flowers, and was very interested in watching them grow, truly a gardener at heart.
Nancy had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and enjoyed doing Family History Work. She loved attending the Temple.
Nancy raised 5 special-needs children, Joshua Todd Falke, Galen Taurus Falke, Erick Spencer Falke, Mary Shelice Falke, and David Porter Falke, through foster care and other programs.
Special thanks to Jim and Pat Van Fleet, her special friends who have lived and helped Nancy for 13 years and have known Nancy for over 30 years.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses who have helped Nancy with medical needs over the years.
Besides her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Todd Falke.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Woods Cross 11th Ward Chapel, 1335 W. 1500 South, where a viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com.
