NORTH SALT LAKE — There’s no age limit on this music.
The family-friendly band “Jack the Giant” will perform a free concert on Jan. 13 at 6 p.m. at North Salt Lake City Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend, including young children.
“We welcome music lovers of all ages,” said Rep. Becky Edwards, who helps organize the concerts.
“Jack the Giant” is a folk band started last February by guitarist and singer Anthony Peña. Three members of the group, including Peña, go to the Salt Lake School for Performing Arts in Sugarhouse. Another member goes to Highland High.
The group’s local tie comes through James Bennion, a guitarist who goes to Woods Cross High. Organizers of the city’s Second Sunday Concert Series, which the Jan. 13 concert is a part of, prefer musical groups with some connection to the city and surrounding area.
North Salt Lake City Hall is located at 10 E. Center Street. For details, visit facebook.com/JackAndTheGiantBand.
